Pregnancy & Birth Doula Review
Aurelia was such a kind, helpful, and grounding presence during my pregnancy and birth journey. From the very beginning, she was honest and transparent - letting me know that she might not be available on my due date. To make sure I had full support, she arranged shared care with another doula, and I really appreciated that her fee stayed the same despite the extra support. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always came prepared with helpful resources and advice. I felt well cared for and truly supported throughout. On the day I gave birth, Aurelia was there by my side, offering emotional support when I needed it most. I was very emotional that day, and having her there made such a difference. Her calming energy and presence brought me so much comfort. Aurelia brings a lovely light to everything she does. She genuinely spoils her clients - I thoroughly enjoyed her delicious congée and was so touched by the thoughtful little gifts she gave me. These small gestures made me feel seen, cared for, and valued. I will always be grateful to her for the love, care, and dedication she poured into this journey. Pregnancy & Birth Doula Review
Working with a Doula throughout my pregnancy and birth experience was excellent. Her presence during pregnancy meant I had a single, non-biased source of information and expertise to ask questions which reduced the noise and conflicting opinions from those around me. She had an excellent bank of information based on data and research which helped me navigate the NHS guidelines where I needed to. Working with Aurelia gave me the confidence to challenge and ask questions of healthcare professionals along the way rather than blindly following a standard set of steps. This meant I felt in control of my birth journey even down to the small things like using cord ties as opposed to the plastic clips. During labour and birth I felt safe and supported, without a doula I wouldn't have felt confident in aiming for a home birth, so her being there had a huge impact. As it turned out, my journey involved several changes to the plan along the way and I had a C-section to deliver my baby. Through each of these changes, having a doula helped me stay calm, understand the benefits, risks and alternative options and stay in control. - Vicky
Postnatal Doula Client Review
Having a postnatal doula was the best decision I made around my maternity care. The whole process took me on a journey to approach the postnatal period in a way that was so different from what I had seen practiced around me, yet it felt so instinctively right. The resources and empowerment found along the way meant I felt able to take a conscious approach to my postnatal period in the way that felt right to me, but also utilising and reflecting time honoured traditions. - Lizzie
Pregnancy & Birth Doula Review
What a wonderful lady Aurelia is. She was there virtually throughout my pregnancy, providing me with lots of information and giving me the confidence to ask certain questions to professionals, which ultimately helped me have the birth of my dreams, at home in a birthing pool. I never thought I would get to meet Aurelia in person, as she lived 2 hours away from me, but she surprised me with a visit on the day I gave birth! There is nothing she didn’t do for me, and she allowed me to be in my baby bubble, whilst everything else was dealt with. I cannot thank Aurelia enough. She is a superwoman and truly phenomenal. Antenatal Class Review
The antenatal classes were very informative while still being laid back and personalised to what we wanted to focus on. I enjoyed your demonstrations with props (e.g. the pelvis, baby and sling) to help me visualise the process. Your welcome pack, including colostrum syringes and extra things like loaning of books, contact info for additional local pre- and post-natal services, colouring sheets and a postnatal planning booklet, were also very helpful and appreciated. My partner enjoyed learning about the role of a birth partner, plus the food, nutrition and recipes. - Vicky and Sam
