I am based near Colchester, on the Essex/Suffolk border and offer my doula services to all surrounding areas. I cover Essex, Suffolk and parts of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire (within 1 hour drive of North Colchester).
If you are outside these areas, or abroad, but feel I may be the doula for you, then please do get in touch and we can see if it is possible for me to support you virtually.

Absolutely! Not only does this keep you held in a safe space for birth, but it can also be an extra support for the hospital staff to know you are being supported if they are busy.
-
Yes, definitely. I am very happy to support you in theatre, but it will be dependent on the view of your Midwife or Consultant Obstetrician, or their hospital policy. I will, however, be there for as long as possible before and after the birth.
I will also be able to support you if you are planning on breastfeeding. Check with your hospital (and document it in your notes) that your doula will have clearance to support you and your baby in recovery and on the ward no matter what time of day or night.
-
Absolutely, yes. While much of a doula’s role focuses on the birthing person, and making sure they can rest and heal as much as possible after birth, I believe that a baby's arrival is also the birth of a family as a whole and just as much of a life-changing event for partners as it is for the birthing person.
